Better Than Takeout Dan Dan Noodles:

INGREDIENTS:

(Recipe makes 2-4 portions, depending on how hungry you are)

Sauce

▪350g (12oz) Ground Pork

▪125g (1/2c) Chili Crisp

▪30g (2T) Tahini

▪125g (1/2c) Chicken Stock

▪10g (2 1/2t) Sugar

▪40g (2T) Soy Sauce

▪5g (1t) Sesame Oil

▪2g (1t) Chinese Five Spice

▪40g (2T) Hoisin

▪40g (2 1/2T) Mirin

▪190g (1 bunch or 1/2lb) Broccolini, cut into thin coins, leaving florets intact

▪200g (7oz) Spaghetti Noodles

Garnish:

▪Scallions, cut thinly (greens only)

▪Chopped Peanuts, dust sifted out

▪Sesame Seeds

INSTRUCTIONS:

1. Bring a pot of water to a boil.

2. To make sauce, mix Chicken stock, hoisin, sugar, tahini, mirin, soy sauce, sesame oil, & five spice.

3. Cook spaghetti in boiling water per package instructions

4. Heat a 12” saute pan over medium-high heat and begin to brown the ground pork, breaking it up until it’s finely crumbled and fully cooked.

5. Add broccolini and a pinch of salt and cook for about 3 minutes.

6. Add chili crisp to pork and fry the meat in the oil for about 30 seconds.

7. Add the sauce, then add the drained cooked noodles and swirl and toss until the sauce thickens and begins to stick to the noodles.

8. Plate noodles and top with scallions, peanuts and sesame seeds.
