Japchae (Korean Stir Fried Glass Noodles)
Japchae is one of my favorite Korean foods and is one of the best meals to make when you’re craving noodles, but you also want something with veggies that’s not a total gut bomb. There are a couple of secrets to success in my version including cooking the veggies separately and tossing the noodles with the sauce.
Chicken Marsala with Creamy Polenta
If you love to cook and chicken marsala isn’t on your radar, it should be. This recipe is comforting and complex with a tangy richness, but still somehow feels light. Highly recommend this one for your next dinner party!
Takoyaki
Takoyaki (Japanese octopus balls) are one of my favorite street foods in Japan. Think of a savory, fluffy pancake that’s crispy on the outside and topped with creamy and tangy sauces and lots of umami. Simply put, they’re dope and I HAD to try recreating them for the home cook.
Jelly Donuts
Homemade jelly donuts are truly something special. Check out this recipe for a yeasty, melt in your mouth dough with a fresh raspberry jelly inside that has the perfect amount of sweetness.
Faster, Better, Spaghetti & Meat Sauce
This one pot spaghetti with meat sauce breaks all the rules of how you “should” do it. But when it comes together in less than 30 minutes AND is just as good if not BETTER than the recipes that take hours? I’m sold.
Deluxe Breakfast Burrito
The breakfast burrito is about so much more than just combining stuff into a tortilla. It's about the expertly crafted blend of flavors and textures and, of course, THE BUILD. Don't forget about the build.
BBQ Chicken Pizza
Although a little controversial in the hardcore pizza world, BBQ chicken pizza can be SO delicious with the right balance of sweetness from the bbq sauce and juicy smokiness of grilled chicken and bacon.
Crispy Spring Rolls
Making your own crispy spring rolls at home is a real treat…and it’s not nearly as difficult as it looks. Click through for my spin on this Vietnamese dish, paired with a flavorful and slightly sweet chili sauce.
Creme Brûlée
You would never guess that a recipe as luxurious as this creme brûlée could be so simple. My no waterbath method is something that I used to do in the restaurants I worked in to get the silky smooth texture that everyone loves about creme brûlée.
Chilaquiles
My best recipe for chilaquiles is a simple and insanely delicious way to eat what is essentially nachos for breakfast. Fresh fried tortilla chips smothered in a deep, fragrant, cheesy chile sauce and topped with a runny egg, avocado, cilantro, and a splash of lime.
Deep Dish Quiche Lorraine
This deep dish quiche lorraine recipe is one of THE best things you can eat for brunch. Flaky crust with a smooth, custardy filling, and pops of smokey bacon and rich, buttery leeks.
Sloppy Joseph
Sloppy Joe tucked his shirt in and wants to meet the parents. This recipe has more developed flavors and is a little less sloppy than the Joe you grew up eating.
Fried Catfish & Hush Puppies with Spicy Mayo Tartar Sauce
Fish fry is a staple of the Midwest. I'll show you how to do it right with fried catfish and super easy hushpuppies plus a versatile spicy mayo tartar sauce for dipping.
Hummus & Pita
Once you know how to make this super smooth hummus recipe, you’ll never buy it at the store again.

Crispy takeout style orange chicken at home can be yours. No wok required for this recipe and the result is miles better than the stuff you get in the takeout container.
Flaky Biscuit
This is my go-to biscuit recipe for making the flakiest, most delicious biscuits I’ve ever tasted. In this recipe, I break down the techniques and steps to help you make them successfully at home.
“Fancy” Baked Mac & Cheese
This “fancy” baked Mac and cheese has a lot in common with the classic southern style version. It’s a little creamier and uses some less common cheese options, but the result is just as delicious (maybe more if you’re really into cheese).
Classic Southern Style Baked Mac & Cheese
The classic, the legend of the potluck: Southern style Mac & cheese. The right technique and blend of ingredients keep this packed with cheesy flavor, but not greasy.
Speed Scratch Chicken Soup
This quick and low effort chicken soup is light and hearty and tastes COMPLETELY homemade, but it’s done in 15 minutes with a few clever shortcuts. Perfect for when you’re sick or any weeknight when you’re short on time.
Shepherd’s Pie
In this recipe, I’ll address some technical mistakes that take Shepherd’s Pie from being good to really realllllly good.
